FAQs

I am a contractor who worked on a renovation. Can I claim a lien on the work that I completed?

If a person or company has supplied services or materials to an improvement, that person or company can claim a lien against the person who owns that property, the contractor, or subcontractor. Any alterations, additions, repairs, erections, buildings, demolition, or installation on the land, among other work, are considered an “improvement” for the purposes of the Construction Lien Act and are “lienable”.
