Gosha concentrates her practice on estates, trusts and mental capacity law. Her estates and trusts practice is focused on estate planning and wealth preservation, including the preparation of wills, trusts, powers of attorney and medical directives. Gosha advises Executors on all aspects of the administration of an estate of a deceased person and guides Attorneys for property and Attorneys for personal care when managing the affairs of a mentally incapacitated individual.
Gosha also works with litigation counsel on contentious and non-contentious estate and capacity matters.
SIGNIFICANT CASES/MATTERS
Structured an estate plan for a person whose spouse was diagnosed with Alzheimer disease. Used a testamentary trust as part of the solution. Administered an estate in Ontario involving a foreign will. Arranged for official translation of the will into English. Obtained probate notwithstanding that the original will was retained by the court in the country of origin. Assisted an executor to enforce a divorce settlement for a deceased person. Obtained a vesting order for two properties that were not transferred to the deceased before death.
